2014 Jeep Wrangler Overview

Available in two-door and stretched four-door “Unlimited” versions, the Jeep Wrangler remains one of the most durable off-roaders and boasts among the highest resale values in the industry. The Unlimited has the further distinction of being a unique four-door convertible with a cloth top or removable multi-panel hardtop. Unfortunately this is also among the least amenable models in which to spend a daily commute, with unduly stiff handling, a bouncy-yet-jarring ride and turn-up-the-stereo levels of road noise at highway speeds. On the plus side, the vehicle’s 3.6-liter 285-horsepower V-6 engine delivers generous power and can be mated to either a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. The Wrangler’s seats are stiff and while the dashboard and door panels are better designed, more substantial, and of higher quality than in the past, they tend to make the vehicle’s interior feel claustrophobic.
